If you suffer from excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, in your underarms or palms of your hands, you may be a candidate for BOTOX for hyperhidrosis. When antiperspirants and deodorants are not enough to curb your underarm sweating, BOTOX® for hyperhidrosis may be an effective solution.

What is BOTOX?
BOTOX is a botulinum toxin that prevents nerve signals from reaching a muscle or sweat gland. It is injected directly into the area of excessive sweat with an ultrafine needle.
How does BOTOX prevent me from sweating?
In the same way that the botulinum toxin blocks nerve signals in facial muscles, it can also block chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate sweat glands. When these chemical signals are not received, the amount of sweat that is produced is significantly less.
How do I know if I have hyperhidrosis?
Only a medical professional can determine if you are experiencing hyperhidrosis. While there is no “normal” amount of sweat, there are some guidelines you can use to help you understand if you may be a candidate: If you change your clothes frequently, use extra absorbent material to soak up your sweat, avoid certain clothing or materials, due to your sweating, or have altered social or other behaviors because of excessive sweating.
How long does it last?
BOTOX has been clinically proven to last more than 6 months when used for excessive sweating. The exact duration of the treatment will vary for each client.
How much does it cost?
It is $12/unit.
