What is a Microdermabrasion?
A Microdermabrasion is a skin-revitalizing treatment that exfoliates the skin and removes the superficial layer of dry, dead skin cells. Our patented Diamondtome system allows us to cater the strength of the exfoliation to your needs by selecting a fine, medium, course, or extra course wand. In addition, we accompany the exfoliation with a small suction vacuum, which collects the dead skin cells in a controlled manner.
What is the Procedure Like?
The treatment itself takes approximately 20 minutes and is very relaxing. We begin by cleaning your face to remove surface make-up or dirt, then gently exfoliating the treatment area with the diamond encrusted wand. The wand is gently passed over the desired area as pressure is gently and evenly applied to remove the top layer of skin.
What are the Benefits?
Microdermabrasions are generally best done in a series to make an impactful difference on your skin care needs, such as:
- Minimizing fine lines
- Improving pore size, tone, texture, color
- Reducing oily or dry skin
- Minimizing scars from acne
Is it Right for My Skin Type?
It is beneficial for all great for all skin types, especially because we are able to select the strength of the exfoliation. In fact, it can be a useful alternative for patients whose skin is too sensitive to use anti-acne medications. It should be avoided if you have any skin infections or open wounds on the desired treatment area.
What is the Cost?
The cost is $89 for one treatment; $226 for a package of three.
