Botulinum toxin is one of the most important substances to hit the field of facial rejuvenation. This substance is the most popular way to reduce facial wrinkles and fine lines to create natural-looking, long-lasting results without surgery or downtime.
About Face is located in Harker Heights, Texas and serves Waco, Killeen, Temple, and the Central Texas Region. Contact us today to schedule a consultation with our medical team and find out if you are a candidate for BOTOX® or XEOMIN® injections.
What are BOTOX® and XEOMIN®?
We offer two different Botulinum toxin brands, BOTOX®, made by Allergan, and XEOMIN®, made by Merz. Both neurotoxins are clinically-tested and have a high standard of patient safety. When directly injected into the muscles of treated areas with an ultrafine needle, BOTOX® and XEOMIN® prevent nerve signals from reaching the muscles, causing temporary relaxation and restoring tight smooth skin.
An easy treatment to fit into any schedule, BOTOX® and XEOMIN® generally cause minimal discomfort as the needle is being inserted. Our medical provider will evaluate your facial features prior to treatment and create results that subtly enhance your profile while maintaining your natural facial expressions.
What Do BOTOX® and XEOMIN® Treat?
They can both be used to treat multiple signs of aging, including:
- Moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles
- Frown lines between the eyebrows
- Crow’s feet around the eyes
BOTOX® for Excessive Sweating
In addition to relaxing fine lines and wrinkles, we also utilize BOTOX® to help treat hyperhidrosis or excessive underarm sweating. When antiperspirants and deodorants are not enough to curb your underarm sweating, BOTOX® for hyperhidrosis may be an effective solution. In the same way, that the botulinum toxin blocks nerve signals in facial muscles, it can also block chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate sweat glands. When these chemical signals are not received, the amount of sweat that is produced is significantly less. Only a medical professional can determine if you are experiencing hyperhidrosis – contact us today to have your condition evaluated by Mr. Garberich.
Are There Any Side Effects?
Patients may experience slight bruising, redness, swelling or itching after neurotoxin treatment, which should subside within a day or two. All possible risks and side effects will be discussed with you by Mr. Garberich during your consultation.
How long does it last?
Results vary by patient, but typically results last from three to four months. Although wrinkles and fine lines can recur after BOTOX® and XEOMIN® wear off, regular treatment can effectively manage these visible signs of aging
Am I a Good Candidate for BOTOX® or XEOMIN®?
During your consultation with Mr. Garberich, we’ll discuss factors such your overall health, medical history, and cosmetic goals to determine if BOTOX® and XEOMIN® are right for you. Certain allergies and contraindicating medical conditions may require further evaluation before treatment is approved.
