How do Custom Meal Plans Work?
Everybody is different – what works for one person may not work for another. That is why we collect information about how your body works, including your resting metabolic rate and body composition using our state of the art equipment, as well as consider your lifestyle, and health and fitness goals to develop a meal plan just for you. Using this information, your coach will develop a 4, 8 or 12-week meal plan customized for your body. It will include details for every meal of the day, including type of food and portion size.
How Much Weight Can I Expect to Lose?
This will vary for each person, though a general rule of thumb is 1-2 lbs of fat per week, which will significantly improve your body fat percentage and overall health. Some factors that will affect your success rate include the length of the program you choose, how much body fat you have to lose initially, as well as how dedicated you are to your program.
What Kind of Food will I Eat?
Your Custom Meal Plan will be made up of real, natural food you buy at the grocery store and include lean proteins, complex carbohydrates such as grains, rice and green vegetables, and healthy fats. This approach allows you to establish a healthy lifestyle you can easily follow going forward.
Do I Have to Take a Bunch of Supplements?
No. The most important part about becoming healthy and losing weight is what you eat. While your coach may recommend minimal vitamins or a protein supplement, you will not be required to take lots of supplements.
What Can I Expect from my Appointment?
You will come in for an initial consultation so we can get information about your health goals, as well as answer all of your questions. If it you decide Custom Meal Plans is right for you, you will choose between a 4, 8, or 12-week program.
We will then book the following appointments:
- Initial body composition analysis using our Bod Pod to understand your lean body mass and percent body fat
- A resting metabolic rate test to understand your metabolism
- Check-in dates every 2 weeks, allowing you and your coach to discuss progress, and make changes to your meal plan to ensure maximum results
Depending on which program you choose, we will book body composition analysis appointments each 4 weeks, allowing us to track how much body fat you are losing
How Much Does it Cost?
There are 3 different programs to choose from:
- 4-week program – $349
- 8-week program – $549
- 12-week program – $749
There are also maintenance plans available should you choose to continue.
Is it Safe?
Our Custom Meal Plans are nothing more than creating meals consisting of real food (not pre-packaged) that is portioned out appropriately for your metabolism and goals. We don’t recommend unsafe supplements, dangerous caloric deficits, or unsafe exercise regimens. It is important to note that our Custom Meal Plans are not intended to be a prescription, diagnosis, or remedy for any medical condition of any kind. It is important to notify your primary care provider of any nutrition or exercise program before beginning.
Who Creates my Custom Meal Plan?
Our Custom Meal Plan coach Berina Fura has extensive experience with nutrition and exercise, and knows how to get results for her clients. She is a certified trainer, and worked for years at a well-known national weight loss clinic, as well as helped form corporate wellness programs for Fortune 500 companies. She is also a 6-time bikini competition participant and has coached hundreds of clients to better health. Berina knows what works, and most importantly, what doesn’t work. Her philosophy is very simple – eat real food, study how your body responds to it, and make changes as you go. She is adamant about creating sustainable plans that form a foundation for a healthy lifestyle, not a “diet” that her clients will find difficult to follow, and ultimately give up on. By taking into account each clients’ body composition, resting metabolic rate, lifestyle, schedule and goals, she formulates Custom Meal Plans and workout routine for each client, as well as provide support throughout the process.
