The appearance of spider veins on the legs and face can often lead to self-consciousness and avoiding exposure of the affected area of the body. At About Face Anti-Aging Institute, we offer laser vein treatment for the safe and effective removal of this vascular concern.
Located in Harker Heights, Texas and serving Waco, Killeen, Temple, Belton, and the Central Texas Region, About Face Anti-Aging Institute is led by Mr. Jeff Garberich, PA-C. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and find out how laser vein treatment can remove visible veins without surgery or downtime.
What is Laser Vein Treatment?
Using advanced Syneron Candela laser technologies, laser vein treatment creates a beam of high-intensity light and bipolar radiofrequency that deeply penetrates underneath the skin surface to treat spider veins at a cellular level.
During laser vein treatment, the affected veins are targeted while surrounding skin and tissues are left undamaged. The laser energy converts to controlled heat, causing the veins to collapse and close. Once the veins are deprived of their blood source, they are permanently disabled.
After affected veins are closed, they are eventually removed by the body over a period of time, and the vein is replaced by healthy tissue. Unlike other vein removal therapies that require surgery, laser vein treatment is non-invasive and requires no healing time.
Our laser technology also features a cooling application for patient safety and comfort during treatment.
Are the Veins Permanently Gone?
Once the veins are treated and closed, they are permanently removed by the body, although it may still be possible for new spider veins to grow back in the future. Determining the underlying cause of this vascular condition can help reduce the chances of spider vein growth.
Am I a Good Candidate for Laser Vein Treatment?
Men and women with highly visible spider veins on their faces, legs or other areas and who have no contraindicating medical conditions may be good candidates for laser vein treatment. During your consultation with Mr. Garberich, your individual vascular condition, health, medical history and other factors will be evaluated to determine if laser vein treatment is right for you.
Are There Any Side Effects?
After laser vein treatment, the skin may appear pink or slightly red akin to a sunburn, which should subside a few days afterward. Laser vein treatment is safe for a variety of skin types and typically results in no major side effects, although any risks that may apply to you will be discussed during your initial visit.
