Treat fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, sun damage, age spots, stretch marks, skin texture, and pore size with the most advanced device in the microneedling industry. As we age, our natural skin renewal process slows down, causing lines and wrinkles.  This process also has a large effect on visible skin conditions such as skin tone, pore size, scarring and stretch marks.  Microneedling is an innovative approach to awaken the skin renewal process by stimulating our natural ability to heal, and generating collagen and elastin.

About Face is located in Harker Heights, Texas and serves Waco, Killeen, Temple, Belton, and the Central Texas Region. Contact us today to schedule a free consultation with our medical team and find out if you are a candidate for microneedling.

What is microneedling?

A microneedle is an electronic device that contains numerous small needles in the head. The device is lightly pressed and passed over the treatment area to create microscopic channels through the surface of the skin, causing your natural growth factors to be released.  This process stimulates your natural skin renewal process, which generates new collagen and elastin fibers that can thicken the skin, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, acne scarring, sun damage, and stretch marks.

What conditions does microneedling help?

Microneedling can be used to help treat the following issues:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Sun damage and aging spots
  • Light to moderate acne scarring
  • Stretch marks
  • Skin texture or pore size
  • Post-surgical scarring

What can I expect during the procedure?

Before the procedure, our medical team will apply a topical numbing agent to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Once that takes affect, the procedure itself may range from 15 to 30 minutes.

Is it painful?

Most patients report feeling just the slight vibration of the microneedle during the procedure.

Are there any side effects?

Immediately after the procedure, your skin will appear slightly pink to red, similar to a mild to moderate sunburn, and you may have some redness, tenderness and swelling.  Our medical team will provide you with a soothing aftercare product called Skinfuse® RESCUE Calming Complex, which is formulated to calm the skin and reduce inflammation.  Generally the redness and other side-effects subside after 24 hours.

How many treatments do I need?

The number of treatments varies depending on your condition and desired results. During your consultation, we will put together a plan, which typically includes anywhere from 3-6 treatments, conducted every 4-6 weeks.

How long do the results last?

The results depends greatly on your current condition, how many treatments are administered, and your at home skincare products to compliment the microneedling procedure.   This is something you can discuss with our medical team during your consultation.

Do you offer any payment plans?

We offer a financing solution through Advance Care and Care Credit. We will be happy to review the requirements and help you with the application process either over the phone or during your consultation. You can also apply online or call Advance Care or Care Credit at your own convenience.
